Having my own art studio has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. In June 2026, that dream became a reality when I opened The Nook Studio, my garden workspace, during the first weekend of Oswestry's Open Arts Trail.

We had moved into our new home just three months earlier and, at that time, the studio was little more than an unloved wooden workshop inhabited by several pigeons. In a matter of weeks, it was completely transformed into a welcoming and inspiring creative space.

Today, The Nook Studio features an art wall, my absolute must-have, along with plenty of storage and natural light, hot and cold water, a cosy reading corner, a small workstation, a fridge, and, of course, a coffee maker. It is a space designed for creativity, reflection, and making.

Every now and then, I am also joined by my feline visitors, Kipling and D'Arcey, who like to drop in and make themselves at home.

The Nook Studio is not only my workspace, but also a place that inspires me, nurtures creativity, and allows new ideas to flourish. As well as creating my own artwork here, I now host small group workshops, including Abstract Art for Beginners and Christmas Abstract Art.

Full details of upcoming workshops can be found here on the website, as well as on my Facebook and Instagram pages, @sarahparryjonesart. Links can be found at the top of the page and in the drop-down menu.

Whether you're interested in exploring your own creativity, learning new techniques, or simply spending time in a relaxed and welcoming environment, The Nook Studio offers a space to connect, create, and be inspired.
